The Carver M-1.5 and M-1.5T amplifiers used two Dual Capacitors for the Low Voltage Rails. These capacitors had a 50v / 80v rating respectively. These Dual Capacitors are No Longer made, and No longer available.This PCB solution provides a quick and easy way to replace these aging capacitors with newer, easily available, and better rating capacitors. For best results using this PCB kit, I suggest you purchase the following capacitors:C1, & C3 Nichicon UVR2A222MRD 2200uf 100VC2 & C4 Nichicon UPW1J222MHD 2200uf 63V These capacitors are available from Mouser & Digi-Key and usually in stock! You can use other brands, but you will want to check the lead spacing, lead diameter, and part diameter compared to the Nichicon parts for best results.I can also provide these four capacitors separately in my DCR-1A Cap Kit for about $ 12.00. This DCR-1A kit includes:1 Low Voltage Rail capacitor PCB.4 Straight Pins.1 Detailed 8 Page Instructions with Color Photos. The hardest part of doing this project is the de-soldering of the OLD dual capacitors. There are 16 solder points that will need to be de-soldered in order to remove the OLD caps. You will only be using 8 of the holes for re-assembly! The PCB was designed so that your re-assembly is quick and easy!!!

You can do your own Tech Refresh on a TFM amplifier providing you have basic Soldering Skills Here is a complete Electrolytic Capacitor Kit for replacing CAPS in a Carver TFM-15 or TFM-15CB Amplifiers. These are rated at or above the required working voltage. They meet the Form, Fit, and Function for any of the Amplifier models listed above. Replacement PAIR of Capacitors for the Carver M-500 and M-500T amplifiers. These CAPs use a small FR-4 adaptor PCB that provide a drop-in replacement for the original C17 & C18 or C30 & C31 power capacitors in your M-400 cube. These Nichicon Capacitors are the same values as used before in your Carver M-400 amplifier (which are no longer available in the correct lead style and spacing). The two small PCBs convert the 10mm lead spacing on these NEW caps to the required 12.7mm Stud spacing used by the OLD capacitors.
